Apart from making films, I make music in 2 bands here in the SF Bay Area.

The ElectroSonic Chamber

“Experience the psychedelic sounds of The ElectroSonic Chamber, a four-piece band conceived and born in the Bay Area. Comprised of a Filipino and Bay Area natives, they are a splash of good old California sunshine sprinkled with Trans-Pacific flair. Loud enough to feel some good vibrations, a splendid time is guaranteed for all!”

I play drums for this band with fellow filmmaker Wilfred Galila on vocals / guitar. We just released the band’s first EP for FREE on May 17th 2011 titled “ESC“. The songs on the EP were written mostly in the first half of 2010, recorded in November, and mixed in April 2011. It is a collection of music conceptually assembled and designed to generate an experience. Listen / Download the free EP below:

The Family of Man

This is an acoustic / folk / psychedelic / lo-fi / DIY band that I play percussion, and backing vocals / guitar for. Our debut album “Inside The Box” was released for FREE on September 20th 2010, and our second album “Heads in the Sky” was released on August 16th 2011 also for FREE.

“Inside The Box” is an intimate collection of 13 highly inspired tunes and spontaneous musical expressions of mystery, magic, joy and love. This album was written and recorded in 5 days in a shipping container located in the forests of Mendocino, California. Using DIY recording methods, it is as raw and as rustic as the landscape, seascape, and mindscape of Northern California’s Lost Coast. You can Listen / Download the album below:

Exactly one year later, in the same magical location over yet another stretch of 5 days we recorded our second album “Heads in the Sky“. The album features a more refined and cleaner sound of timeless melodies over its 12 tracks.
